SPECIALIST, QUALITY ASSURANCE
Provides specialized technical expertise in support of the Quality program, including specialized inspection and testing techniques, quality training, statistical methods, audits, quality tools for problem solving and assessment. Creates inspection reports stating the conditions of a work area to ensure requirements are met. Makes recommendations for corrective action. Applies knowledge of quality systems and tools to validate and verify contractually required standards for project execution. Implements principles of performance evaluation and prediction methods are used to improve product systems safety, reliability, and maintainability. Responsible for maintaining quality standard of products and the procedures and materials that go into work scope. Aligns quality management function with the performance needs of product lines. Under general supervision, and occasional direct supervision, performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within their field. Displays core job competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills. Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 2+ years of experience, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
· 2 years of related industry experience
· Strong computer skills primarily in MS Excel and MS Word
· CSA W178.2 Level I Certified Welding Inspector
· Minimum CSA W178.2 code endorsements
a. ASME B31.3 Process Piping
b. CSA W47.1/W59
· High sense of organization
· Strong attention to detail
· Ability to work in a fast paced environment
· Able to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines
· Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
· Ability to problem solve
· Strong commitment to health and safety
Preference given to those with the following:
· Welding Technician Certificate
· Individuals actively pursuing industry related education
· Preference given to those who have experience creating ITP’s
· Preference given to those with experience with RFI’s
· Preference given to those with turnover documentation experience
