  • Reporting to the Project Manager on the Site, and the Functional Manager in the Home Office, the Materials Manager will be responsible for Overall responsibility of ensuring Materials Site Plan Process and Procedures are adhered to.

  • Responsible for planning, budgeting, directing, supervising, and coordinating all materials operation functions.

  • Responsible for identification of material requirements, acquisition, and need dates and coordination of project management/operations and procurement to maximize material availability and minimize surplus.

  • Liaise with Client/Owner to understand site materials process and ensure that objectives are in line with KBR/Client procedures.

  • Liaise with internal Construction Management Team to advise and ensure understanding of Materials flow to jobsite and requirements of all to ensure adequate supply.

  • Determine adequate Materials staffing levels and ensure adherence to budget.

  • Provide coaching and training to Materials Staff on an on-going basis.


Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in business, materials management, industrial distribution, construction management or other related disciplines and a minimum of 8-10 years experience in engineering, procurement and/or construction. In lieu of a degree 10 years of materials management experience can be accepted. Candidate must possess good written and verbal communication skills to be able to interface with the vendors.
