KBR is seeking a Senior Quality Control Manager to be based at our Edmonton Industrial Office. This role oversees all aspects of quality control for KBR Industrial projects.  This role is responsible for the application of knowledge of quality systems and tools to validate and verify contractually required standards for project execution. Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

·         Manages the delivery of functional objectives by providing leadership and direction to team members. Participates in the development of functional strategy

·         Provides specialized technical expertise in support of the Quality program, including specialized inspection and testing techniques, quality training, statistical methods, audits, quality tools for problem solving and assessment.

·         Responsible for maintaining quality standard of products and the procedures and materials that go into work scope. Aligns quality management function with the performance needs of product lines.

·         Creates inspection reports stating the conditions of a work area to ensure requirements are met. Makes recommendations for corrective action.

·         Implements principles of performance evaluation and prediction methods are used to improve product systems safety, reliability, and maintainability.

·         Under general direction, is accountable for the performance and results of the KBR Industrial Quality group

·         Aids in bid/proposals processes for various projects.

·         Manages internal and external audits.

·         Provides support to the quality group on various job sites throughout Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario.


·         Must be CWB Level II Inspector and possess a CWB Supervisor or Engineer Certificate

·         Be certified as a Welder Examiner or equivalent.

·         Strong MS Office Skills (Excel, Word and Outlook)

·         Excellent communication (both written and oral) skills

·         Ability to problem solve and experience working in a fast paced QC environment.

·         Undergraduate degree and a minimum of 9 years of related industry experience

·         Ability to travel for up to a maximum of 7 days per month (based on project/client requirements)
